Job description

We're looking for a Junior Test Engineer to work within IP TV projects.

Qualifications:

1. Graduated in electrical and electronic engineering, computer engineering or related fields
2. Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in industry
3. Experience with Linux
4. Good understanding and knowledge of Unix terminal commands (basic operating system knowledge)
5. General knowledge of database systems and SQL commands
6. Familiarity with testing tools such as SoapUI, JMeter
7. Basic server network operation knowledge, familiarity with Ethernet/bond structures & operations, network routes, whitelist/blacklist implementation

Job Responsibilities:

1. Acceptance testing (IAT) for platform software version upgrades/patches and system component servers in test and production environments to verify features, scenarios, and overall readiness. Discovering, reporting defects, troubleshooting, log tracing, and regression testing.
2. Acceptance testing (UAT) to showcase platform upgrades/patches to the customer, relaying comments or requests, reporting defects, troubleshooting, log tracing, and regression testing with the customer.
3. Testing using OTT applications and IPTV clients during both IAT & UAT phases to verify deployed software and servers.
4. Clarifying new test scenarios internally, forming new testing procedures, and creating test documentation for future reference.
5. Writing, modifying, and updating test cases based on FRS and similar specifications to meet project quality requirements.
6. Providing test support during night operations for live software and server verification.
7. Service check and configuration verification on test and production environments as needed.
8. Maintaining good communication with the customer to understand requirements and ensure smooth UAT execution.
