What you’ll do• Responsible for installing, configuring, implementing and troubleshooting any issues for the Linux/Unix infrastructure.
• Designing, managing and supporting a mixed environment of Linux/Unix systems.
• Performs troubleshooting, incident and error handling for systems
• Assist in the identification, development and maintenance of policies and procedures that are relevant to the proper operational functions of the Linux/UNIX infrastructure.
• Maintain operational readiness ensuring complete recovery in the event of a disaster. Attend DR tests regularly, as outlined in the company policies and procedures to ensure DR functionality. Update the policies and procedures as required.
• Provide assistance in new projects during all stages of including: assessment, planning, designing, initiation, implementation of the Linux/UNIX infrastructure
• Implementing change management processes and user requests on systems
• Evaluation of new versions, patches, firmware and security patches. Implementing upgrades and security patches regularly.
• Implementing security policies on servers according to the best practices and company procedures.
• Periodic monitoring of systems, performance tuning and capacity planning and trend analysis
Who you are• University degree from a relevant discipline, preferably from engineering
• 3+ years experience working with x86 hardware, Redhat linux
• Must have excellent working experience administering RHEL Operating System
•Should have good knowledge of Python, Grafana, DevOps tools like Git.
•Should have good knowledge of Kubernetes and Openshift.
• Experience working in a large, enterprise environment with 500+ of servers
• Must have excellent working experience with problem solving, troubleshooting and analysis
• Must have excellent working experience administering VXVM,Veritas Cluster (VCS) and cluster technologies.
• Must have very good shell scripting capabilities
• Must have good knowledge of Virtualization, Storage, SAN, Network
• Fluency in English
• Male candidates must have completed their military services
• Should be a good team player and should be able perform well under stress
