What you’ll do
- 5G preparation for transport: prepare the methodology for getting ready for 5G, define needs, prepare an initial plan, follow up with other departments.
- SDN Readiness for transport: guide the SDN implementation in line with the group strategy.
- Create design solutions and planning guidelines: enable efficient and standardized networks, find smart solutions for automation in planning.
- Capacity planning: high-level planning of radiolink access and IP access networks, create business cases to ensure adequate capacity.
- Automation: automate IP design configuration using Python or similar tools.
- Operational cost reduction: seek opportunities to decrease costs and manage capacity demands between operators.
- Equipment planning: define equipment types and quantities for projects.
- Support: assist L3, L2, and L1 teams in solving complex problems.
- Collaboration: work closely with all divisions in a friendly manner, maintaining IP network integrity.
- Project development: develop initiatives to increase network efficiency and reduce OPEX.
- Application processes: follow up on BTK-related applications inside and outside the company.
- Vendor management: oversee technical improvements to meet transport network requirements.
- Knowledge: possess good knowledge of Huawei RTN series radiolinks and Huawei ATN/PTN nodes.
- Network optimization: maximize network availability through rerouting, utilization analysis, and capacity planning.
- Quality monitoring: review network quality reports and prepare action plans.
- Technology trends: follow latest transport technologies and report trials to Vodafone Global and legal authorities.
- Strategy implementation: implement Vodafone Global technical strategies and guidelines locally.
Who you are
- Graduate in electrical, electronics, telecommunications, or computer engineering from a reputable university.
- Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic field or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in telecommunications.
- At least 4 years in transport planning/operation.
- IP Network certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are desirable.
- Knowledge of IP/MPLS and L2/L3 VPN Technologies.
- Experience with IP routing protocols (IS-IS, BGP) and signaling protocols (LDP, RSVP).
- Good understanding of SDN concepts.
- Proficiency in English.
- Knowledge of Huawei IP/MPLS and MW product portfolio.
- Valid driving license and no restrictions on mobility.
- Excellent communication skills, personal responsibility, and a proactive attitude.
