Job description

The Corporate Banking Analyst is an entry-level position responsible for supporting Citi’s largest clients across various banking services, including but not limited to Debt Capital Markets, Export Credit Agency Guaranteed Financings, Liquidity/Cash Management, Trade & Treasury Solutions, and Derivatives transactions. The analyst plays a crucial role in coordinating internal product teams across different regions, assisting with credit analysis, loan documentation, supporting Corporate Banking Management, and facilitating client communication to ensure timely transaction completion.

Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with Product teams, Credit Underwriters, and Relationship Managers to execute transactions.
  2. Prepare financial analysis, projections, capital analysis, peer comparisons on new transactions, and calculate pricing & internal profitability metrics.
  3. Coordinate credit allocations, internal approvals, documentation, and booking approvals to complete transactions efficiently.
  4. Assist Senior Bankers in preparing relationship reviews, identifying revenue changes, and reporting errors within client portfolios.
  5. Arrange and participate in client meetings, prepare call memos, and proactively suggest new transaction ideas.
  6. Monitor macroeconomic and debt capital markets developments, company news, and inform the team proactively.
  7. Assist in the onboarding of new clients, including KYC & Compliance approvals.
  8. Train and coordinate interns.

Qualifications:

  • Currently a 4th-year university student (expected graduation June 2025) or a recent graduate with less than 2 years of full-time work experience.
  • Internship experience in banking or corporate finance, preferably in Corporate or Investment Banking.
  • Familiarity with Corporate Banking products, related regulations, credit analysis, and documentation.
  • Client-focused, results-oriented, and proactive attitude.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, able to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Turkish, capable of articulating complex financing schemes.
  • Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, multinational environment and contributing to large transactions that support economic growth.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
