In this role, you’ll ensure our mission-critical databases operate with maximum efficiency, performance, and security, while contributing to the ongoing evolution of our technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain database systems (SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL),
• Monitor database performance and implement optimization techniques,
• Develop and maintain robust data backup & disaster recovery plans,
• Enforce data security policies and perform regular security audits,
• Design and model databases for scalability and performance,
• Support users and troubleshoot database-related issues,
• Manage database patches, updates, and version control,
• Optimize complex queries and database operations,
• Control and monitor access to sensitive data,
• Plan for database capacity and growth,
• Create and maintain up-to-date documentation and procedures,
• Provide performance reporting and analysis to relevant stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field,
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing databases (SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL),
• Proficient in performance monitoring and query optimization tools,
• Strong understanding of database security, integrity, and access controls,
• Familiar with database backup/restore strategies and high availability setups,
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills,
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities,
• Well-organized and experienced in project-based work.
• Certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure DBA),
• Scripting experience (PL/SQL, T-SQL, etc.),
• Knowledge of big data, data warehousing, or ETL tools,
• Experience with database replication, clustering, and HA solutions,
• Familiarity with cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database),
• Experience in compliance-driven environments and audit processes.
