What will I be doing?
- As a Duty Manager, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Provide consistent and superior service, and maintain high service standards
- Actively seek verbal feedback from customers on a regular basis
- Agree and implement actions to improve customer service
- Positively deal with and learn from customer complaints and comments
- Ensure all customer requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively
- Welcome personally ‘special attention’ and VIP guests
- Be fully aware of and competent in accident report procedures, maintenance fault reporting procedures, fire policy and procedure, bomb threat procedure, doctor assistance procedures and First Aid
- Have perfect knowledge of the company’s Health & Safety Policy and act accordingly
- Have thorough knowledge of department Brand Standards
- Edit Duty Manager Log daily and distribute it to all related people
- Ensure all comments referring to SALT and Guest Assistance are inserted in guest profiles for future reference
- Maintain daily completion of the DM checklist
- Ensure daily follow up on DM reports by the appropriate department
- Report defects and faults to the appropriate department and follow up on them
- Contribute to overall hotel security by reporting unusual occurrences to the security department
- Ensure the shift is reviewed, handover and briefings are carried out
- Maintain in-depth technical knowledge and skills required for the job
- Work within all pre-set budgetary limits
