About the Role

We are seeking for Dimensional and Laboratory Team Member to join our Eskişehir Engine Plant. This role is responsible for the maintenance, sustainability, calibration, and continuous improvement of various laboratory and dimensional measuring systems. You will play a key role in ensuring dimensional integrity, supporting problem-solving activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and manage laboratory and dimensional equipment requirements across Ford Otosan; prepare short- and long-term investment budgets aligned with organizational needs and technological trends.
  • Maintain CMM rooms, Materials Laboratories, and in-line Measurement equipment, ensuring timely calibration, repair, and refurbishment.
  • Develop strategic plans for laboratory growth, including test devices, budgeting, technical advancements, and digitalization initiatives.
  • Lead digitalization projects to improve traceability, efficiency, and data management within the Laboratory and CMM systems.
  • Conduct comprehensive gauging studies for in-process gauges, CMM, and Material Laboratory measurements.
  • Plan and implement gauging strategies for forward model projects in collaboration with Ford Europe and Vehicle Operations Manufacturing Engineering teams.
  • Manage the plant’s calibration tracking system and ensure compliance with Ford and other Global calibration requirements.
  • Lead and execute Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for various gauges within the plant.
  • Represent the plant as the primary contact during ISO, heat treatment, and welding audits.
  • Perform benchmark studies on measurement technologies, assessing applicability within Ford Otosan.
  • Project to conduct gap analysis in terms of measurement systems, between Ford locations, raise alignment/standardization projects for (Gölcük, Yeniköy, Eskişehir and Craiova) regarding Ford Procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Knowledge and experience in measurement system assessment (relevant certifications are a plus).
  • Training and/or certification in special processes such as welding, heat treatment, or contamination control preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO auditor certification preferred).
  • Advanced problem-solving skills (e.g., 8D, Six Sigma).
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing support experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English (Upper-Intermediate level or higher).
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Class B driver's license and no travel restrictions
