Dean of the Faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture at Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey

Bilkent University is seeking applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the Faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture (FADA).
About Bilkent and FADA: Bilkent University, located in suburban Ankara, is one of the best known Turkish universities; in recent rankings it is listed 28th in Times Higher Education’s 100 Under 50 list of the world’s best young universities. Bilkent University is a non-profit university that is supported by its own endowment. Bilkent is a vibrant international community; faculty members come from 40 different countries, and the language of instruction across the university is English. FADA currently accommodates over 1400 undergraduate students in six departments: Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Communication and Design, Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, and Urban Design and Landscape Architecture. At present, five graduate programs exist in various subjects leading to MS, MFA and PhD degrees.
The Dean will have a distinguished academic record and an international standing in his or her field. He/she will be an exceptional leader with excellent interpersonal skills and a vision for a faculty with diverse interests. There will be opportunity of hiring new staff at both junior and senior levels in all departments, with an eye both to advancing research, artistic and design activity, and developing new and existing academic programs.
