Key Responsibilities

· Manage and fine-tune PostgreSQL High Availability (HA) Clusters and/or MSSQL AlwaysOn setups across production, sandbox, and staging environments.

· Contribute to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by supporting continuous integration and deployment workflows with database expertise.

· Automate routine and operational activities using shell scripting and monitoring tools.

· Maintain database systems availability and performance through regular maintenance, automated backup strategies, and proactive monitoring.

· Possess working knowledge of technologies related to data replication, streaming, and Change Data Capture (CDC).

· Demonstrate expertise in database design, security best practices.

· Apply deep understanding of HA database architecture and internal mechanisms.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.

· Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting PostgreSQL and/or MSSQL in live and 7/24 environments.

· Experience working with distributed systems and high availability architectures.

· Strong background in SQL performance tuning and internal optimization.

· Proven scripting and automation skills.

· Proficient in both written and spoken English.

· Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

· Strong skills in documenting systems and processes effectively.

· Enthusiastic about learning emerging technologies and tools.

· Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus.
