Install.Tech is seeking a Data Centre Operations Engineer to support day-to-day operations, maintenance, and optimisation of data centre environments across multiple cities. You will work with physical and virtual infrastructure, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to support installs, upgrades, and ongoing operations.

The role requires hands-on experience with servers, storage, networking, and cabling, plus a proactive approach to incident management and change control.

Formación

• Proven experience in a data centre or IT operations role.
• Strong understanding of server, storage, and network hardware.
• Hands-on experience with rack layouts, structured cabling, and power systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of data centre best practices, including redundancy and resilience.
• Ability to follow processes while remaining flexible in fast-paced environments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor, maintain, and support data centre infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and cabling.
• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations (rack & stack).
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and service requests, ensuring SLA adherence.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and routine operational checks.
• Troubleshoot hardware, network, and environmental issues.
• Manage and document change, incident, and problem tickets.
• Support capacity planning and asset management.
• Ensure compliance with security, health & safety, and operational procedures.
• Participate in on-call and out-of-hours support as required.
