Job summary

Oredata Yazılım A.Ş. is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and implement modern data platforms, including data warehouses and data lakes, and to build robust ETL processes across diverse data sources.

You will collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to align data solutions with business goals. The role requires 6+ years in data engineering, strong SQL/NoSQL and data modeling skills, and hands-on cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering/Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years experience in Data Engineering roles.
• Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling concepts.
• Experience with databases, data warehouses, and ETL processes.
• Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure).

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with stakeholders to understand business goals and data needs.
• Create data architecture models and data dictionaries.
• Design, select and implement data storage solutions (data warehouses, data lakes, ODS).
• Design and develop ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources.

Responbilities

• Conduct interviews with stakeholders, conduct surveys, and review existing systems to understand the organization's business goals and data needs.
• Create data architecture models (conceptual, logical, and physical) suitable for the organization's data needs, prepare data flow diagrams and data dictionaries.
• Design, select, and implement data storage solutions such as data warehouses, data lakes, operational data stores.
• Design and develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate and transform data from different sources.
• Create policies and procedures to ensure data quality, perform data profiling, and manage data cleansing processes.
• Create policies and procedures to ensure data security, design access control mechanisms, and implement data security standards.
• Evaluate new data technologies and tools, ensure compatibility with existing systems, and make recommendations for improvement.
• Document and keep up-to-date data architecture, data models, data flows, and other related topics.
• Work closely with other team members (data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, etc.) on data architecture projects.

• Experience in data modeling techniques (e.g., conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling).
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration.
• Knowledge of data quality management and data security.

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented and results-oriented approach.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and familiarity with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) processes and tools.

• Advanced level of English
