Position

Coordinator - Government & Sectoral Affairs in Ankara.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary liaison of the company with government authorities, ensuring trusted relationships and compliance with protocol rules and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relations with public institutions and regulatory bodies; providing insights on policy priorities and legislative processes.
  • Proactively monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory changes primarily in Türkiye, along with bilateral trade relations and key regulatory developments in critical regions such as the EU; providing strategic analysis and recommendations to internal teams and senior management.
  • Coordinate the preparation of company positions in public consultation processes of legislative initiatives and ensuring alignment across relevant departments.
  • Represent the company in various platforms of NGOs, sectoral unions, institutions, and official bodies, ensuring effective advocacy and follow-up of the company’s positions.
  • Manage and follow up official procedures and requirements related to the company’s memberships in NGOs and professional organizations.
  • Prepare bulletins and brief notes on sectoral and cross-sectoral developments for internal circulation across departments and functions.
  • Coordinate the preparation of agendas, meeting documents, and presentations for relevant high-level meetings and sectoral engagements.
  • Ensure close coordination and information flow between internal functions and senior leadership on government and sectoral affairs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in governmental affairs, public policy, or related fields, preferably with exposure to industrial sectors and climate policy.
  • Proven experience in working with governmental bodies, NGOs, and related institutions, as well as in advocacy and strategy development.
  • Strong understanding of bureaucratic processes, protocol rules, and ability to conduct official interactions at multiple levels with confidence.
  • Established capacity to build and maintain trusted networks with public authorities, and ability to extract insights relevant to the company’s policy priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Turkish and English (proficiency in official/protocol language is a must).
  • Professional demeanor and able to represent the company in high-level platforms with credibility and confidence.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow legislative and policy trends, synthesize large amounts of information, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Open to innovation, flexible, self-initiative, and a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
