Job description

Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Team Member to contribute to the installation, maintenance-repair, testing, and commissioning processes of installations, equipment, and other mechanical works within the scope of Ford Otosan's construction projects. In this role, you will join our team to ensure the effective operation of mechanical systems in industrial construction projects and assist in the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform the installation of mechanical infrastructure (preferably in the automotive industry) for industrial construction projects.
• Manage the assembly, commissioning, and testing of mechanical systems and auxiliary facilities. (Boilers, Compressors, Cooling Tower, Fire extinguishing systems, HVAC systems etc.)
• Experienced in the installation and operation of building automation/management systems
• Authorized and experienced in fire protection systems, with expertise in the design and installation of fire safety systems, and a strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
• Support the detection and repair of mechanical malfunctions.
• Actively contribute to ensuring and maintaining a safe working environment by fully complying with occupational health and safety rules.
• Work in coordination with construction and electrical disciplines to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects.
• Fulfill other maintenance and repair tasks assigned by the team.
• Provide daily progress reports and regularly update the team leader on project status.
• Manage progress payment processes and follow up until payments are finalized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering
• 8-12 years of total experience in field and office roles within mechanical leadership teams of industrial construction projects.
• Proficient in the installation, maintenance-repair, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Fluent English is a must in both written and verbal communication (preferably C1 level English proficiency).
• Knowledge of technical and design office processes, including feasibility, progress payments, project design, and approvals.
• Fully compliant with occupational safety and quality standards.
• Team-oriented, solution-focused, with strong communication skills.
• Adaptable to intense work environments and flexible working hours.
