Job summary

Unilever in Umraniye, Turkey, seeks a Product Development Technologist for Condiments to drive development and deployment of condiment products. You will collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, and Marketing, translating science into market-ready products that are more appealing and efficient.

Qualifications

• A degree in Food Engineering is required.
• Preferable 1–2 years of experience in research, design, manufacturing, and/or technical product management with a basic understanding of Food Science and Technology.
• Knowledge of MS Office and strong English communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, hands-on skills, and quick action.

Responsibilities

• Review existing raw materials and simplify them to improve sourcing efficiency and complete stability and shelf-life tests.
• Review Process and Instrumentation Diagrams and design new compliant processes with the global team.
• Design product formulation compliant with new equipment and processing.
• Review and identify contingency options for alternative processing to ensure uninterrupted business.
• Track R&D network progress and take timely actions to ensure on-time project delivery.
• Define an operating window of specs and identify ranges of product quality variations.
• Partner in commissioning equipment and line with designated products, process design and packaging.
• Work in multi-functional teams, owning and driving the adherence to full project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with Unilever Code of Business Principles and SHEQA policies.
