Vodafone Group Plc in Turkey is seeking a professional with extensive experience in backup systems to ensure operational readiness and disaster recovery. You will act as the primary resolver for incidents while supporting various platforms and managing backup schedules.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of hands-on experience with backup technologies. The position offers a hybrid working model and numerous employee benefits.

Act as the primary resolver for incidents and service requests related to storage and backup systems; provide secondary support for Windows/Linux servers and virtualization platforms. Perform daily operations in Veeam/Kasten, Zerto, NetBackup, Backup Exec, Data Domain and Exagrid environments to back up, recover and archive data; coordinate with other teams to diagnose and resolve incidents and support restoration activities. Ensure compatibility and correct integration of backup systems with existing systems. Manage backup schedules and retention policies to guarantee timely execution and regulatory/compliance adherence. Verify completion of backup jobs, maintain auditable logs of backup and restore operations, and produce regular reports on job status and trends. Execute file- and system-level restores as required and provide root cause analysis for failures. Collaborate with vendors and contractors to evaluate, implement and integrate new backup platforms; inspect and validate vendor work against specifications and quality standards. Troubleshoot backup-related issues across multiple operating systems (Windows, Unix/Linux) and hypervisors. Evaluate and apply software/firmware updates and security patches in line with change controls. Work with business and application owners to capture requirements and provide infrastructure support for enterprise applications. Provide 24/7 support coverage as required (shift work and on‑call rotation). Define action items and next steps for backup projects; participate in planning and delivery of technology refresh, consolidation and migration projects. Proactively monitor capacity and performance; initiate expansions, optimizations and lifecycle activities (patching, upgrades, decommissioning). Design, configure and maintain Backup infrastructures (SAN, NAS, object storage) and associated components. Follow and enforce change management and documentation processes for system changes and user requests. Implement and maintain security controls and policies for backup environments to meet industry best practices and company procedures. Conduct periodic performance tuning, capacity planning and trend analysis to maintain service levels and SLAs. Maintain operational readiness for disaster recovery; plan and participate in regular DR tests and update DR procedures as needed. Install, configure, test and maintain server operating systems, server‑class software and monitoring tools supporting backup repository operations.
