Chief Accountant

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including revenues, expenses, assets, liabilities, payrolls, taxes ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Lead the budgeting process, monitor actual performance versus budget and provide variance analysis and recommendations.
  • Manage cash flow, identify financial risks and opportunities, and ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with local accounting standards and all relevant legal regulations. Establish, implement, and monitor robust internal control systems; conduct regular audits to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other statutory obligations.
  • Take a leading role in setting up financial systems and procedures during the pre-opening phase.
  • Liaise effectively with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the luxury hospitality or real estate sector, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Previous experience with international hotel chains / residences while experience with pre-opening projects is a strong advantage.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and hotel accounting software’s
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • High ethical standards and a strong sense of confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in English
