Job summary

A prestigious hotel in Istanbul is looking for a qualified individual to manage food and beverage operations. You will ensure service excellence and maintain kitchen cleanliness while supporting the team. Ideal candidates should have 3+ years in the food industry, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of food techniques.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage outlet.
  • Familiar with kitchen equipment and techniques.
  • Good hands-on approach necessary.

Key accountabilities
  • To follow outlet specific service standards.
  • To take ownership over the Demi and Commis chefs during the absence of the Staff Restaurant Sous Chef.
  • Ensure smooth operations of the sections appointed.
  • Have complete understanding of all food and beverage items, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service.
  • Ensure mise-en-place is completed prior to service.
  • Controlling the cleanliness and tidiness of stations before, during and after operation.
  • Always controlling the cleanliness of the kitchen areas.
General requirements
  • General knowledge of food technique.
  • Familiar with kitchen equipment.
  • Good hands-on approach.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage outlet with similar standards and expectations (Hotel based or Standalone).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to guide and train the team.
