Job summary

ING Hubs Türkiye is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help build the next generation of digital asset, tokenization, and distributed financial infrastructure capabilities within ING. You will design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, integration layers, event-driven applications, and cloud-native platforms that support emerging digital asset and distributed ledger initiatives.

While prior blockchain experience is welcome, it is not required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solution design, or architecture roles.
• Strong stakeholder management experience across business and technology domains.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working in Agile organizations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Fluent English communication skills (C1 level or above).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs.
• Develop microservice-based applications on cloud-native platforms.
• Create robust integrations between internal banking systems and digital asset platforms.
• Build highly available, secure, and resilient services handling financial transactions.
• Engage in architecture discussions covering scalability, performance, security, reliability.
