Job summary

Calico Teknoloji is seeking a Backend Engineer (Go/Python) to maintain and extend a real-time data processing engine, improve robustness, observability, and build a comprehensive automated testing harness. You will collaborate with algorithm, FPGA, embedded, and systems engineers to evolve the data engine into a reliable, scalable core platform, mastering Go, Python, concurrency, and CI/CD.

Minimum 3+ years of professional backend experience is required; junior or purely academic backgrounds are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend, systems, or infrastructure-oriented development.
• Deep Go expertise: concurrency, goroutines, synchronization, backend service development.
• Strong Python fluency, including NumPy and pytest.
• Experience designing automated testing frameworks across unit and integration tests.
• Strong Docker and containerized development/deployment workflows.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, update, and improve a real-time data processing engine written in Go.
• Design and implement new capabilities and services within the engine.
• Refactor and optimize code for performance, reliability, maintainability, and testability.
• Build scalable ingestion, processing, and distribution pipelines for streaming data.
• Develop and maintain websocket-based streaming interfaces and back-end APIs.
• Design and implement a comprehensive testing harness for the data engine and data sources.
• Ensure testing workflows are integrated into CI/CD pipelines (including SIL/HIL where applicable).
• Build validation tools and replay/simulation frameworks for verifying real-time behavior.
• Use pytest and Python-based tooling to orchestrate, validate, and analyze tests.
• Develop supporting tools and analysis workflows using Python, NumPy, and notebooks.
