Job description
Overview

Assistant Researcher vacancy in Antalya, Turkey. This vacancy is temporarily suspended.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct land and boat surveys for research at least 3 and 0.5 times a week respectively, close to sunset and sunrise hours.
  • Understand survey techniques and equipment, such as a theodolite, and use these skills to survey effectively.
  • Enter, Analyse and/or catalogue this data in programs such as Pythagoras, Logger10, Discovery, Mark, RStudio and GIS.
  • Raising awarness via outreach activities and the usage of social media to convey information.

  • Intermediate level english and understanding of scientific literature and jargon
  • Background in biology, conservation and/or marine science

    • previous marine mammal experience
    • previous field work experience
    • knwoledge and/or practical experience in theodolite operation
    • knowledge and/or previous experience with photo identification
