Sabancı University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences invites applicants for a full time assistant professorship position. We seek a highly motivated scholar with good communication skills who is willing to work as part of a team. The fields of interest should preferably complement the research activities by the current group members and be suitable for initiating interdisciplinary research with other programs. The successful candidate must have a strong record and potential for top quality scholarly publication, as well as promise of outstanding teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Requirements

Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Publication record demonstrating research potential.

Involvement in project application, reporting processes

At least three years post-graduation experience

Research areas: Electrical Engineering; Information Theory, Distributed Computing, Federated Learning, Machine Learning, Robust Learning.

Publications: The candidate must demonstrate research excellence with published articles on the above topics, in international journals, indexed by the Web of Science. In particular, a minimum of 8 scientific publications in the Journal Citation Reports top two quartiles or having CWTS SNIP score of 1.0 or higher are required; at least 3 of these publications must have no direct connection to the PhD thesis research of the candidate.
