Job summary

Goodyear in Turkey is seeking an Assistant Controller (Accounting, Reporting and Tax Manager) to lead our Turkish accounting function, oversee preparation of financial statements under VUK, US GAAP and IFRS, and manage a team of 6-7 associates.

The role requires 10+ years in finance, strong people leadership, and fluency in Turkish and English, with a hybrid work model from Istanbul. You will coordinate close, audits, and tax compliance while driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in finance and accounting with increasing responsibility.
• Experience managing a team (2-3 years) and developing staff.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting principles, US GAAP and IFRS.
• Fluent in Turkish and English for internal and external communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements under VUK, US GAAP and IFRS.
• Coordinate month-end close processes and hyperinflation accounting as needed.
• Lead a team of 6-7 associates (including Shared Service Center staff).
• Support external audits and maintain strong balance sheet substantiation.
• Ensure tax compliance (VAT, corporate tax) and monitor transfer pricing with Tax Specialist.
