Area Sales Manager
Join our team as Area Sales Manager and you’ll step into our exciting world of poultry processing systems and solutions. You’ll be JBT Marel’s closest contact to our customers; you get to interact with them one‑on‑one, in person, at exhibitions, demos or other occasions. This allows you to analyze their needs and offer them the best possible solutions. That’s because you understand all relevant details of the customers process and of Marel’s top‑notch solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work in close collaboration with Regional Sales Director, Account Managers, Distribution Partners, and Regional Sales Operations.
- Participate in the process of establishing and implementing a structural industry market plan for a region.
- Drive the sales of complex solutions; justify their value and help increase JBT Marel’s market share while meeting customer requirements.
- Support and train Account Managers within depth process knowledge.
- Be responsible for realizing sales (targets in volume and achieving the best possible price and market share for complex solutions).
- Be responsible for visit reports, opportunity registration and follow‑up (maintaining data in Company CRM systems).
- Collect information on competitors’ activities, installed base, requirements, and developments.
- Meet KPI (Key Performance Indicators) goals with sales and margins.
Qualifications
- Motivated, outgoing, self‑starting; results driven.
- Able to analyze processes at the customer and advise on improvements.
- Able to handle pressure, meet deadlines, and pay attention to detail while maintaining a positive attitude.
- An excellent communicator and listener, with the ability to work with customers at a high level in the organization, vendors, and co‑workers in a professional and tactful manner to resolve problems.
- Able to follow through on duties and assignments with minimal supervision.
- An excellent time manager, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
- 3 years’ experience in outside business‑to‑business sales of technical/ mechanical systems, preferably with an international company.
- Skills in software such as a CRM system, Microsoft Office.
- Excellent skills in written and verbal English.
- Commitment to travel within the assigned sales territory.
- Ability to work in a multicultural, multidisciplinary organization.
