Job summary

Garanti BBVA Technology is seeking an AI Governance Specialist within the Analytical Transformation team. You will design, implement and oversee governance across AI solutions, ensuring security, responsibility and traceability in line with the bank’s objectives.

You will collaborate with BBVA Holding AI teams and international partners to advance governance standards, models and controls across the AI lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, MIS, CS or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in AI, analytics, governance, risk management, or related IT roles.
• Experience designing governance models, operating models, policies, standards, procedures and control frameworks, and driving their implementation across an organization.
• Analytical perspective to assess AI solution risks based on use case, data, system integrations, level of autonomy and potential business impact.
• Advanced written and verbal proficiency in English is a must.

Responsibilities

• Design governance models, operating models, and control frameworks for AI solutions.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve AI governance standards, policies and guidelines.
• Govern enterprise AI inventory and ensure traceability throughout the lifecycle.
• Establish end-to-end lifecycle governance for AI solutions and oversee implementation.
• Coordinate with international teams on AI Transformation and Governance initiatives.

Analytical Transformation - AI Governance Specialist

As an AI Governance Specialist, you will be part of the Analytical Transformation team at Garanti BBVA Technology and play an active role in ensuring that Artificial Intelligence, especially AI Agent solutions, are used in a secure, responsible and traceable way and in line with the Bank’s strategic objectives and governance and control framework. You will design, develop, operate and drive the implementation of AI governance functions such as:

• Developing AI Governance standards, policies, procedures and guidelines
• Designing, implementing and continuously improving the AI Governance Model and Operating Model
• Governing the enterprise AI and AI Agent inventory and ensuring traceability throughout the lifecycle
• Designing risk-based and proportionate AI governance and control frameworks
• Establishing end-to-end lifecycle governance for AI solutions and overseeing its implementation
• Enabling consistent adoption of AI governance standards across business areas and teams, and monitoring their implementation
• Monitoring internal and external regulations and translating AI governance requirements into the governance model

You will also have the opportunity to work with BBVA Holding AI Transformation & Governance teams and teams in other countries on international AI Transformation and AI Governance initiatives.

The mandatory criteria we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related fields
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Artificial Intelligence, analytics, technology, governance, risk management or related IT roles
• Proven experience in designing governance models, operating models, policies, standards, procedures and control frameworks, and driving their implementation across an organization
• Analytical perspective to assess AI solution risks based on use case, data, system integrations, level of autonomy and potential business impact
• Advanced planning, time management, coordination and stakeholder management skills, with strong communication, influencing and collaboration skills
• Experience in AI Governance, Responsible AI, AI risk management, AI/model lifecycle management, or AI and AI Agent lifecycle, risk classification, inventory, control, monitoring and governance practices is highly prefferred
• Advanced written and verbal proficiency in English is a must
