Job summary

iSoftStone in Istanbul seeks an AI Product Owner to lead AI projects from discovery to live solutions, bridging business and development teams in a hybrid, full‑time role.

You will shape requirements, write user stories, select the right AI tools (Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform), and guide stakeholders through feasible AI‑enabled transformations across ERP, Finance, Production, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, MIS, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Functional/Solution Consultant in enterprise technology or digital transformation projects.
  • Proven hands-on experience with end-to-end ERP business processes — especially Finance and Production, as well as Procurement, Supply Chain, and Sales — gained in ERP projects, as a functional consultant, or as a key user.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial company, with a solid understanding of production processes (e.g., production planning, shop-floor execution, quality, maintenance) and how they connect to finance and costing.
  • At least 2 years of hands‑on involvement in generative AI or AI‑enabled projects (e.g., Copilot/LLM‑based assistants, AI agents, chatbots, document intelligence).
  • Proven ability to run requirement‑gathering sessions with business users and turn ambiguous requests into structured requirements, user stories, and solution designs.
  • Active, everyday user of Microsoft 365 Copilot, with hands‑on experience building or configuring solutions in Copilot Studio and familiarity with Copilot Cowork and agentic Copilot capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of generative AI concepts — LLMs, prompt design, grounding/RAG, agents, evaluation, and limitations such as hallucination — and the ability to discuss them clearly with non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable leading meetings with senior business leaders and developers alike.
  • Fluent Turkish and professional working proficiency in English (written and verbal)

Responsibilities

  • Discovery & requirements: Plan and lead discovery meetings, interviews, and workshops with end users, process owners, and business sponsors on assigned AI projects; listen actively to uncover the real problem behind each request
  • Solution shaping in the room: Form an early solution hypothesis while gathering requirements and use it to guide stakeholders — challenging assumptions, proposing alternatives, and setting realistic expectations about what AI can and cannot do
  • Solution design & handover: Translate business needs into clear solution designs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and agent/conversation flows that developers can estimate and build without ambiguity
  • Technology fit: Recommend the right tool for each use case — Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Cowork, Copilot Studio agents, Power Platform, Azure AI Foundry, or SAP AI capabilities such as Joule — and validate feasibility together with technical leads
  • Hands‑on prototyping: Use Copilot, Copilot Cowork, and Copilot Studio yourself to build quick prototypes, demos, and prompt experiments that make ideas tangible and validate them with users before development starts
  • Bridge between business and IT: Act as the single point of contact between users and the development team: own the project backlog, answer questions, manage scope changes, and keep both sides aligned throughout delivery
  • Meeting & project facilitation: Run project meetings end to end — kick‑offs, workshops, sprint reviews, demos, and status meetings — with clear agendas, documented decisions, and tracked follow‑up actions
  • Generative AI expectation management: Explain generative AI behaviour (non‑determinism, hallucinations, grounding, data access and permissions, Responsible AI) in plain language, and agree with users on acceptable quality, risk, and human‑in‑the‑loop controls
  • Testing & acceptance: Define test scenarios and evaluation criteria for AI outputs, coordinate user acceptance testing with the business, and sign off solutions against agreed acceptance criteria
  • Go‑live & adoption: Support go‑live, user onboarding, and training; collect feedback after launch and turn it into improvement iterations for the development team

Job description

AI Product Owner

Türkiye, İstanbul | Hybrid | Permanent | Full-time

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are building a dedicated AI Consulting practice to drive enterprise-wide AI transformation, with a strong focus on the Microsoft AI ecosystem (Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Cowork, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry) alongside the SAP AI ecosystem. We are now looking for an AI Product Owner who will be assigned directly to AI projects and drive them hands-on — from the first conversation with users to a working solution in their hands.

In this role, you are the person in the room with the business. You will listen to their problems and requests, and distinguish what genuinely calls for AI from what is better solved through a process change, standard system functionality, reporting, or classic automation. While you listen, you are already shaping the solution in your head — and you use it to steer the conversation, challenge assumptions, and guide stakeholders toward the approach that will actually work.

You will be the bridge between business users and the development team: turning what you hear into clear requirements, user stories, and solution designs, handing them over to developers, and staying with the project until it delivers value. AI is not purely a developer topic — generative AI can be interpreted, applied, and misunderstood in many different ways. That is why you need to be a confident, hands-on user of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Cowork, and Copilot Studio yourself, so you can demonstrate, prototype, and discuss realistic options with users instead of talking in abstractions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Functional/Solution Consultant in enterprise technology or digital transformation projects
  • Proven hands-on experience with end-to-end ERP business processes — especially Finance and Production, as well as Procurement, Supply Chain, and Sales — gained in ERP projects, as a functional consultant, or as a key user
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial company, with a solid understanding of production processes (e.g., production planning, shop-floor execution, quality, maintenance) and how they connect to finance and costing
  • At least 2 years of hands‑on involvement in generative AI or AI‑enabled projects (e.g., Copilot/LLM‑based assistants, AI agents, chatbots, document intelligence) — from discovery through go‑live
  • Proven ability to run requirement‑gathering sessions with business users and turn ambiguous requests into structured requirements, user stories, and solution designs
  • Active, everyday user of Microsoft 365 Copilot, with hands‑on experience building or configuring solutions in Copilot Studio and familiarity with Copilot Cowork and agentic Copilot capabilities
  • Solid understanding of generative AI concepts — LLMs, prompt design, grounding/RAG, agents, evaluation, and limitations such as hallucination — and the ability to discuss them clearly with non‑technical audiences
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable leading meetings with senior business leaders and developers alike
  • Fluent Turkish and professional working proficiency in English (written and verbal)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Power Platform
  • Prior experience in RPA or process automation projects, including process analysis and automation opportunity identification
  • Experience writing prompts, agent instructions, and knowledge sources for AI agents, and designing test sets to evaluate AI output quality
  • Product Owner certification (e.g., PSPO, CSPO) or relevant Microsoft certifications (Copilot, Power Platform, or Azure AI)
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Discovery & requirements: Plan and lead discovery meetings, interviews, and workshops with end users, process owners, and business sponsors on assigned AI projects; listen actively to uncover the real problem behind each request
  • Solution shaping in the room: Form an early solution hypothesis while gathering requirements and use it to guide stakeholders — challenging assumptions, proposing alternatives, and setting realistic expectations about what AI can and cannot do
