Job summary

Brainlake is seeking a strong AI Product Designer with excellent UX fundamentals, sharp UI taste, and an AI-first approach to how digital products are designed. This is not a traditional UX/UI role with a few AI tools added to the workflow.

You will use AI to rethink how research is synthesized, ideas are explored, interfaces are generated, prototypes are created, and design decisions are validated. You should balance AI acceleration with human judgment to preserve design quality.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of strong product or UX design experience across web and mobile products.
• Portfolio demonstrates both strong UX thinking and genuinely good UI taste.
• Understand design fundamentals rather than templates or generated interfaces.
• Proficient in Figma with Auto Layout, components, variants, prototyping, and design systems.
• Already use AI meaningfully in day-to-day design processes, not just copy or image generation.

Responsibilities

• Turn business requirements, research, and user needs into clear product experiences.
• Design user journeys, task flows, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and polished interfaces.
• Produce high-quality UI with strong attention to hierarchy, typography, spacing, interaction, and visual consistency.
• Use AI throughout the design process to accelerate research synthesis, ideation, UX exploration, wiring, prototyping, content generation, and iteration.
• Experiment with emerging AI design tools and develop better, faster ways of working.
• Move rapidly from an idea to multiple design directions without sacrificing quality.
• Build and maintain scalable design systems, components, patterns, and reusable foundations.
• Prototype AI-powered product experiences, including conversational interfaces, copilots, intelligent workflows, recommendations, and automation.
• Work closely with product, AI, automation, and engineering teams to ensure the intended experience survives implementation.
• Review designs critically and continuously improve usability, clarity, and visual quality.

Requirements

You're a Fit If You

• Have 4+ years of strong product or UX design experience across web and mobile products
• Have a portfolio that demonstrates both strong UX thinking and genuinely good UI taste
• Understand design fundamentals rather than relying on templates or generated interfaces
• Can take an unclear problem and turn it into a logical, usable, and visually strong product experience
• Are highly proficient in Figma, including Auto Layout, components, variants, prototyping, and design systems
• Already use AI meaningfully in your day-to-day design process, not just ChatGPT for copy or occasional image generation
• Actively experiment with AI-powered design, prototyping, research, and product-building tools
• Understand how AI changes product experiences, including uncertainty, human oversight, explainability, automation, and conversational interaction
• Can tell the difference between an AI-generated interface that looks impressive and one that is actually well designed
• Have strong visual judgment and care deeply about details
• Work quickly, explore multiple directions, and are comfortable throwing away mediocre ideas
• Stay actively informed about new AI design capabilities and are constantly testing better ways to work
