Precision Walls, Inc. is seeking an experienced Acoustical Ceiling Mechanic to install acoustical tiles and related materials on ceilings and walls. You will prepare surfaces, measure layout lines, and ensure precise alignment with blueprints in a collaborative construction setting.

Responsibilities

• Applies acoustical tiles or shock-absorbing materials to ceilings and walls to reduce sound and decorate rooms.
• Prepares surfaces and improves adhesive qualities before mounting tiles.
• Inspects furring, mountings, and masonry for plumbness and level with laser or water level.
• Hangs dry lines to guide position of main runners.
• Nails or screws molding to seal joints between ceiling tile and wall.
• Cuts tiles to fit walls where molding is not specified.
• Nails channels or furring strips for tile mounting.
• Measures and marks surfaces according to blueprints and drawings.
• Cuts and inserts tiles into the supporting framework.
• Applies cement to tile backs and presses into place to match layout marks.
