Job description

To man the Student Engagement Centre for the stipulated timing from Monday to Friday and ensure that the space is safe and welcoming to students.

* To leverage the Student Engagement Centre to organise activities that build a sense of belonging and affiliation to the school, encouraging student participation in after-school activities and supporting the school’s effort in nurturing a culture of care and respect.

* To proactively interact and connect with students regularly, highlighting or referring students with needs or potential issues to the Head of Department in charge of GEAR-UP for follow-up.

* To keenly observe, through frequent interactions, and identify key needs of students, working with school staff to design strategies to address these needs.

* To design and implement activities that engage students at the Student Engagement Centre during its daily opening hours, supporting their well-being and social-emotional and aesthetic development. These activities should lead to observable deliverables to foster a sense of accomplishment. A detailed plan outlining the nature of activities, such as enrichment, skill-building, or competitions, should be included in the proposal and reviewed termly for improvements.

* To conduct two activities during semester break to engage at-risk students (group size between 20 and 25).

* To design and implement a 7-week resilience-building programme for Sec 1 students (2025 cohort), incorporating fun and engaging activities. A curriculum outline should be provided upon request.
