NTI Yield Analysis Engineer

Description

As an NTI Yield Analysis Engineer in our Singapore department, you will develop NAND product technologies, define, and implement actions to improve yield, quality, and reliability, achieving key milestones within timelines.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Discover yield issues in NAND development, identify metrics such as wafer/dice shading, ECATS, or custom metrics for issue quantification.
  2. Collaborate with process, yield, failure analysis, product engineering, design, and layout teams to define and address yield, cell, CMOS, and reliability issues, and derive improvement actions.
  3. Conduct deep dive statistical analyses of inline, probe, and cell metrics to identify issues, enable early detection, and improve yield and quality. Track progress and quantify improvements or setbacks.
  4. Initiate data mining and correlation studies on new issues, perform root cause analysis, and make yield projections. Conduct trend analyses to identify root causes in process steps, algorithms, or design.
  5. Develop inline detection methods in collaboration with metrology and RDA teams.
  6. Identify gaps in testing, co-develop parametric/probe bins to detect new failure modes, and validate new releases.
  7. Work with module owners to identify deficiencies and drive cross-functional solutions, optimizing layouts and developing innovative solutions to meet requirements.
  8. Develop techniques for data extraction from databases and automate processes through scripting to enhance efficiency.
  9. Support transfer of layout and architecture fundamentals from R&D to manufacturing.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in semiconductor yield analysis.
  • Experience monitoring trends, root cause analysis, and building pareto charts.
  • Exposure to wafer edge analysis and dashboard development for line-to-probe outputs is a plus.
  • Understanding of PI modules in NAND technologies and failure mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of nonvolatile memories, process flow, and yield/reliability issues.
  • Experience with R&D transfer and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to analyze probe failure mechanisms and perform electrical data collection.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working in demanding environments, and able to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analysis, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel for R&D collaborations.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Communication Engineering.
