Job Summary

Members of the Marina Bay Sands family and crew of Motor Yacht Paiza One offer contemporary ultra-luxurious service with a strong commitment to create unforgettable memories for our guests and passengers.

The Yacht Administration Manager is a land-based support for the captain and the entire crew ensuring to create unforgettable experiences for the passengers. The yacht manager is a professional manager, expert problem solver and is able to manage every situation with poise and exemplary leadership.

Job Responsibilities

Operational

  • Act as the land-based orchestrator of Yacht Operations. A key and vital partner to Captain and crew for yacht management and pre-voyage preparation.
  • Act as a liaison between the crew, passengers, and Marina Bay Sands.
  • Assume responsibility for all administration required including but not limited to procurement, crew records, crew scheduling, etc.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the duties and responsibilities as Yacht Manager.

Management

  • Oversight of the provisioning being executed by those crew onboard (Chef & Chief Steward).
  • Management of yacht furnishings, order of new FFE, storage, and replacement.
  • Management of Marina Bay Sands services/support including laundry, linen, butlers, and other resources.
  • Management of Marina Keppel Bay and future overseas journey destinations in collaboration with Purser and MBS Lifestyle team.
  • Oversight of work hour schedules as prepared by the bridge, deck, engineering, hospitality, and galley departments.
  • Support Captain & crew on repair and maintenance schedules and coordination of drydock schedules.
  • Support Executive Director with management of costs and budgets, preparing monthly accrual statements and collaborating with crew and leadership in forecasting.

Leadership

  • Maintain professional relationships with crew to ensure the safety, comfort, and convenience of passengers.

Accounting/IT

  • Update the in-yacht planning management software with issues and events.

Compliance

  • Support the crew to operate the vessel and aspects in accordance with the MBS Lifestyle Pte Ltd and Marina Bay Sands Pte Ltd standard operating procedures, checklists, and limitations.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Safety

  • Participate in the Safety Management System.
  • Participate in Emergency Response.
  • Follow Marina Bay Sands Workplace Safety and Health Policy practices.
  • Report any work incidents; may include vandalism, fight, fire, abuse, accidents, etc.
  • Observe activities; report any suspicious characters, items, and/or activities to support team at Marina Bay Sands.

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the MBS Lifestyle team, planning and communicating Paiza One plans.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with Marina Bay Sands senior management to ensure the highest levels of communication and understanding of all Paiza One lifestyle experience strategy.
  • Enable and support a culture of communication, collaboration, knowledge, and professional growth to build strong relationships amongst the OneMBS teams.
  • Prioritize own professional development and work with the Executive Director Paiza Lifestyle to enhance skill sets with respect to leadership, communication, organization, and strategic development.
  • Work on other ad-hoc initiatives as required in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible days and hours as required by the business.
  • Maintain a healthy work/life balance.
  • Contribute ideas in support of the company vision, mission, value, and guiding principles.

Miscellaneous

  • Practice well-mannered behavior and grooming according to company standards.
  • Attend scheduled meetings as required.
  • Active involvement in Sands Care and sustainability programs.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

  • Diploma/Degree in hospitality or related field preferred.

Experience

  • 5 years of hospitality management.

Other Prerequisites

  • Good command of spoken and written English to communicate effectively with crew members.
  • Confident and charismatic personality with a great attitude towards passengers and crew.
  • Risk averse.
  • Mature, meticulous, resourceful, organized, and able to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong communication, management, and interpersonal skills, superior leadership.
  • Maintain professional appearance ensuring the highest levels of service experiences for passengers.
  • Maintain hygiene to the highest levels.
  • Ability to remain calm and give directions in an emergency situation.
  • Competent in reviewing financial accounts and proposing forecasts and budgets of costs.
  • Must be able to travel and enter countries worldwide without restrictions and be eligible to apply for VISAs where required.
