Job description

  1. Implement a comprehensive Site Safety Management System to manage risks and reduce accidents
  2. Implementation of workplace safety, health and environment programs and initiatives
  3. Enforcement of safety standards in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act
  4. Conducting training programs on workplace safety and health and inspections to ensure that all staff and/or subcontractors onsite and at HQ abide by policies and standards
  5. Ensure strict compliance of procedures in statutory workplace, safety, health & environment requirements at sites and required premises
  6. Implementation of effective safety management system, preventive measures as well as risk assessment to minimize accidents at the assigned workplace/site
  7. Preparation and/or submission of safety reports and necessary audits
  8. Assist the company in safety related certifications and awareness such as safety audits, meetings, and executive of safety programs
  9. Work with the assistance of your safety team of WSH coordinators and supervisors at the project site
  10. Keeping up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes in safety guidelines
  11. Any other ad hoc duties assigned from time to time

Requirements:

• Registered WSH Officer/Safety Officer with MOM for minimum of 4 years

• Minimum 3 years as a WSH Personnel in construction, with at least one year of experience as a WSHO

• Possess a minimum Diploma in Environment, Health and Safety Management or related field

• Excellent people management skills and good interpersonal skills
