Recruit Now Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a qualified Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) who will also act as Fire Safety Manager (FSM). You will lead the CERT Team and ensure compliance with the Fire Safety Act, Fire Safety (FSM) Regulations and related EHS laws in Singapore.

The role requires a MOM-registered WSHO, a Diploma in OSH or related field, familiarity with ISO 45001 and local safety regulations, and experience in risk assessments, audits and safety training.

Qualificações

• Minimum 2 years of relevant safety experience in construction, manufacturing, marine, logistics or oil & gas industries.
• Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or in related discipline.
• Must be a Registered WSHO with the MOM.
• Familiar with ISO 45001 and local WSH frameworks.
• Familiar with Workplace Safety and Health Act and related MOM regulations.
• Proficient in safety documentation, audits, and safety software.
• Completed Fire Safety Manager Course approved by SCDF is a plus.

About the role

Act as appointed Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) and Fire Safety Manager (FSM). You will manage the CERT Team and promptly execute WSHO and FSM legislative roles and responsibilities as stipulated in the Fire Safety Act, Fire Safety (Fire Safety Managers) Regulations and other relevant fire safety regulations; and Workplace Safety & Health Act, Workplace Safety and Health (Workplace Safety and Health Officers) Regulations and other relevant EHS regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all EHS matters, consultation and legal compliance

• Develop, review, approve and manage risk assessment and related supporting documents (e.g. method statement/safe work procedure, training competency, safety data sheet etc)

• Review, issue, control and manage permit-to-work for working-at-height, confined space, lifting operation, hot work and fire protection system impairment

• Develop, review and maintain EHS documentation, safe work procedure, emergency response plan, data and record as well as training material

• Arrange and conduct EHS trainings (online, virtual and physical trainings), table-top exercises, emergency drill exercises, site inspections, audits, coaching discussions, incident investigation and EHS committee meetings

• Promote positive EHS awareness, culture and practices through role model demonstration, proactive communication, constant engagement, know-how sharing and program participation

• Provide EHS technical support, legal update and consultation as well as follow up EHS action items till resolution

• Liaison with local authorities for EHS compliance and partnership, including mandated report submission to local authorities, licence/permit/certification/registration renewal

• Attend to SCDF annual building fire certificate, petroleum and flammable materials storage license as well as emergency response plan renewal

• Responsible and coordinate for yearly audit (ISO 45001:2018 & Bizsafe)
