Job summary

A leading engineering company seeks a committed WSH Safety Coordinator for the VSMC Semiconductor Construction Project. You will be responsible for overseeing site safety matters, liaison with clients, and implementing safety procedures in a challenging environment. Candidates must have an Advanced Safety Certificate and be prepared for a demanding work schedule that includes overtime. Fluency in Mandarin is preferred, and prior experience in construction is a plus.

Project Location:
The job site is at VSMC Semiconductor Construction Project located in Tampines, Singapore.
The work environment is a cleanroom construction site with workers from China and various non-traditional countries (e.g., Bangladesh, Myanmar, India), requiring strong cross-cultural coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee site safety matters;
  • Liaise with the client's safety personnel to implement safety controls;
  • Prepare and implement Risk Assessments (RA) and Safe Work Analysis (SWA);
  • Review and sign Permit-To-Work (PTW) applications and safety forms;
  • Inspect PPE usage and assess site safety barriers;
  • Conduct or assist in Toolbox Meetings and site safety briefings;
  • Follow up on unsafe acts and implement corrective actions.

Work Arrangement:

  • This is a full-time site-based role, requiring 7 days of work per week;
  • 1 day of rest will be arranged within every 2 weeks, subject to project needs;
  • Sunday work will be considered overtime, with allowance or off-in-lieu provided;
  • Must be willing to work overtime or assist in urgent tasks as needed;
  • Only apply if you can fully commit to this work schedule.

Requirements:

  • Must hold an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B);
  • The following certificates are considered an advantage:
    Develop a Risk Management Implementation Plan
    First Aid
  • Mandarin-speaking is preferred;
  • Prior experience in construction or subcontractor environment is preferred.
