Job summary

THE SUPREME HR ADVISORY PTE. LTD. Singapore invites a WSH Officer for a project-based contract ending in 2027, based at Changi Project Office (Lavender area). 5.5 work days, 8am to 5pm, alt Sat full day, salary SGD 5,000 to SGD 7,000 depending on experience.

Join our marine construction team to implement and maintain the WSH Management System, ensure compliance with WSH Act and MOM requirements, perform site inspections and risk assessments, and coordinate safety training and emergency drills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Environmental, Health and Safety.
• MOM registered Safety Officer (WSHO); ECO helpful.
• At least 3 years of experience in WSH, preferably in construction.
• Ability to support sites hands-on and improve EHS performance.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the WSH Management System, policies, procedures and programmes.
• Ensure compliance with the WSH Act, Regulations, MOM requirements and codes.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits and workplace observations.
• Develop, review and implement risk assessments, SWPs and method statements.
• Monitor high-risk activities and advise on risk-control measures.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety training and inductions.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness exercises and evacuations.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Maintain WSH records and liaise with MOM, WSH Council and clients.
• Review safety performance indicators and implement improvements.

Job Description

• Implement and maintain the company's WSH Management System, policies, procedures and programmes.
• Ensure compliance with the WSH Act, WSH Regulations, MOM requirements, Codes of Practice and relevant statutory requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and workplace observations to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and potential hazards.
• Develop, review and implement Risk Assessments (RA), Risk Management Plans, Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) and Method Statements.
• Monitor high-risk activities
• Advise management, supervisors and workers on appropriate risk-control measures and safe work practices.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, WSH training and induction programmes.
• Coordinate and participate in emergency preparedness exercises, evacuation drills and rescue exercises.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents and near misses, determine root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor implementation and close-out of corrective actions and safety observations.
• Maintain WSH records, inspection reports, training records, incident reports and statutory documentation.
• Liaise with MOM, WSH Council, clients, consultants, contractors and other relevant authorities on WSH matters.
• Participate in WSH committee meetings and provide recommendations to management for continual improvement.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
• Conduct regular PPE inspections and ensure appropriate PPE is available and properly used.
• Monitor workplace environmental conditions such as noise, dust, heat stress, lighting and ventilation, where applicable.
• Support implementation of WSH campaigns and safety initiatives to strengthen the company's safety culture.
• Review safety performance indicators and prepare WSH reports, statistics and management updates.
• Stop or lift work where there is an imminent risk to workers' safety and health.
• Perform other WSH-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or other relevant subjects.
• Must be a MOM registered Safety Officer (Registered WSHO), ECO is an additional benefit.
• At least 3 years of experience in WSH field, preferably in construction industry.
• Able to provide hands-on support to sites as well as ability to take a strategic approach to improving EHS performance.
