Job summary

GREAT TEAM ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Safety Officer to identify and assess workplace risks, implement corrective measures, and support audits. The role covers site safety inspections, machinery compliance, PPE guidance, incident investigations, and safety training.

You'll contribute to maintaining OSHA-aligned safety standards and documentation, with evolving responsibilities as needed to meet organizational requirements and employee capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess foreseeable risks arising from workplace or work processes and recommend practicable measures to eliminate, minimize or control risks.
• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with corporate safety policies.
• Keep safety policies up-to-date with latest standards and develop new ones when required.
• Support OSHA, Environmental & GGBS audits.
• Conduct safety inspections on sites to detect hazards and establish corrective procedures.
• Inspect machineries to ensure regulatory compliance and monitor for broken equipment or hazards.
• Advise on needed personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper use by workers.
• Conduct safety investigations to determine root causes and prepare incident reports when needed.
• Document findings and recommendations to prevent recurrence and ensure injury reports are submitted to government agencies.
• Review safety standard records and maintain accurate safety documentation.
• Provide safety training to employees on topics such as fire prevention, machine guarding, and hazardous materials handling.

Job Summary

Duties/Responsibilities

Policy and Regulation Maintenance

• Implement and enforce policies/procedure in accordance to the corporate safety polices/procedures.
• Ensure safety policies are kept up-to-date, meets the latest standards, and establish newones when required
• Supports in all the OSHA, Environmental & GGBS audits

Site Safety Inspection

• Conducts safety inspections on sites to determine if hazards are present and to establish procedures and policies to overcome such hazardous situations.
• Conduct ssafety inspections on machineries in compliance to regulatory requirements
• Monitor forbroken equipment, defective tools, and other potential hazards.
• Advised the type of personal protective equipment (PPE) is needed
• Ensure the workers know how to operate and use tools and equipment.

Accident Investigation

• Ensure proper safety procedures are documented and are carried out at site
• Conduct safety investigation to determine root causes, gather evidence and prepare incidence reports when needed
• Document findings and recommendations that should be followed to prevent the accident from happening again.
• Verify that injury reports are submitted to related government agencies

Record Keeping

• Responsible for reviewing safety standard keeping of safety records

Safety Training

• Provide training to employees on safety issues as required by OSHA. These include fire prevention plans, machine guarding, and hazardous materials handling.
