Job summary

A recruitment firm in Singapore seeks an experienced Safety Manager to develop and improve the Safety Management System. The role involves conducting audits and safety training while ensuring compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of safety experience in construction and be MOM registered Safety Officers. A competitive salary and long-term contract are offered.

Job description

Benefits Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Safety Management System (SMS) to comply with WSH regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure workplace safety.
• Monitor compliance with the WSH Act and update safety policies based on regulatory changes.
• Liaise with MOM and external auditors for inspections, audits, and submission of safety documentation.
• Lead accident investigations, implement corrective actions, and ensure follow-ups are completed.
• Design and conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and induction programs for staff and contractors.
• Oversee safe use of equipment, machinery, and emergency response planning, including fire drills and evacuation.
• Track safety KPIs, analyze trends, and provide safety performance reports to senior management.

Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• At least 5 years’ safety experience in the construction industry with a proven safety program track record.
• MOM registered Safety Officer (Registered WSHO Certified)
• Skilled in inspections, risk assessments, accident investigations, and construction safety regulations.
• Strong team collaboration, communication, and people management abilities.
