Job summary

Jet Aviation Singapore is seeking an experienced Workshop Technician (Painter) to paint and refinish aircraft interiors and exteriors. You will work with seasoned aviation professionals, focusing on quality workmanship and safety while following detailed specifications.

You will prepare surfaces, apply high-quality finishes, and use spray guns, sanders, and grinders. The role demands attention to detail, adherence to schedules, and the ability to work in a dynamic hangar environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in paint finishing across aerospace, automotive, industrial, or related fields.
• Trade school certification or apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints or engineering documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, paint, repair, and touch up aircraft interior and exterior surfaces.
• Perform high-quality paint finishing work in workshop and on aircraft.
• Use spray guns, sanders, grinders, and other painting equipment.
• Read and follow material specifications, drawings, and engineering instructions.
• Ensure aircraft are properly protected throughout the painting process.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, 5S, and housekeeping.
• Contribute ideas to improve safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Keep workshop tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Complete work records and use systems to track materials and progress.
• Support other workshop activities as required.

As a Workshop Technician (Painter), you will carry out painting, refinishing, repair, and touch-up work on aircraft interiors and exteriors. Main Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Prepare, paint, repair, and touch up aircraft interior and exterior surfaces.
• Perform high-quality paint finishing work both in the workshop and on aircraft.
• Use spray guns, sanders, grinders, and other painting and finishing equipment.
• Read and follow material specifications, drawings, and engineering instructions.
• Ensure aircraft are properly protected throughout the painting process.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, 5S, and housekeeping.
• Contribute ideas and improvements to make our processes safer, more efficient, and cost-effective.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in paint finishing, automotive, industrial, or aerospace painting is preferred.
• A background in aerospace or aircraft painting is an advantage.
• Comfortable working at heights, on ladders and platforms, and in confined spaces.
• Experience using painting and workshop equipment such as spray guns, sanders, grinders, lifts, or forklifts.
• Trade school certification or apprenticeship is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints or engineering documentation is an advantage.
