Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in servicing electro-mechanical systems, including single and three-phase motors, solenoids, and contactors.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, clean, assemble, and test vacuum pumps according to quality standards.
  • Ensure achievement of production targets regarding productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain appropriate standards of behavior and performance within the workshop.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

Knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment
Ability to disassemble electro-mechanical equipment
Proficiency in PC use and Windows-based software

Job description

The Role:

  • Disassemble, clean, assemble, and test vacuum pumps according to the company's quality standards and production schedule.
  • Ensure achievement of production targets related to productivity, volume, and efficiency.
  • Reduce rejects and ensure quick turnaround through effective liaison with other departments and stores.
  • Assist with materials store and local logistics activities occasionally.
  • Participate in Kaizen activities as part of continuous improvement of workshop targets on quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Maintain appropriate standards of behaviour and performance within the workshop.
  • Ensure that the appropriate health and safety standards are met, including the availability of H&S forms before commencing work.
  • Adhere to the company's Health and Safety policy to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Keep the workshop clean, safe, and well-managed daily to ensure safety.
  • Liaise with team leader and other departments as necessary to achieve these duties.

What we expect of you?

  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment used in pumping or vacuum applications.
  • Ability to disassemble electro-mechanical equipment into components, identify damages/faults, reassemble, and test equipment performance.
  • Proficiency in PC use and Windows-based software.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in servicing electro-mechanical systems, including single and three-phase motors, solenoids, and contactors.
