Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore seeks an experienced workshop manager to oversee the operations of a mechanical and electrical engineering workshop. The role requires at least a degree or diploma in engineering and a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in heavy industry. Responsibilities include managing machinery and vehicle fleets, scheduling maintenance, and leading a team of mechanics. Competitive compensation and a 6-day work week with flexibility for additional hours are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in managing a workshop.
• Specific knowledge of electrical safety measures.
• Ability to report daily and weekly to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities

• Manage fleet of machines, equipment, and vehicles.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Train and lead mechanics for in-house servicing.

Job description

• At least diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years experiences in managing steel or construction workshop or any heavy industry workshop, experiences in repair and maintenance of machinery.
• To manage fleet of machines, equipments and vehicles, to schedule preventive maintenance and to attend to repairs and to train and lead mechanics for in-house repairs and servicing.
• Have specific knowledge of electrical to supervise the usage of machinery and to ensure all safety measures and compliance regulation are strictly adhere to
• Have working knowledge of supervisory and leadership principles, operate and manage the full spectrum of the workshop operation and function, motivate and lead the workshop team to achieve the desire result and productivity output
• Daily and weekly reporting to Managing Director.
• To work 6 days per week. May required to work 7 days a week in certain occasions.
