Job summary

STEADFAST ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Safety Officer to implement and monitor the Workplace Safety and Health management system across project sites in Singapore.

You will conduct site inspections, review risk assessments and procedures, promote a strong safety culture, investigate incidents, and coordinate with management to improve safety practices. The role requires willingness to travel to project sites in Singapore and surrounding locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of WSH regulations and risk management.
• Experience with workplace safety practices and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the WSH Management System and safety programmes.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, identify hazards and implement risk controls.
• Review and monitor Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures and Permit-to-Work systems.
• Ensure compliance with MOM regulations, WSH requirements, company policies and client requirements.
• Conduct safety briefings and WSH inductions, promote a positive safety culture on sites.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor WSH performance and support audits and inspections.
• Maintain safety records, reports and statutory documentation.
• Support emergency preparedness and response activities.
• Provide WSH advice to management and site personnel and recommend improvements.

Job Responsibilities

• Review and monitor Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.

• Ensure compliance with MOM regulations, WSH requirements, company policies and client requirements.

• Conduct safety briefings and WSH inductions, and promote a positive safety culture across project sites.

• Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, identify root causes and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

• Monitor WSH performance and support internal, external and regulatory audits and inspections.

• Maintain safety records, reports and statutory documentation.

• Support emergency preparedness and response activities.

• Provide WSH advice to management and site personnel and recommend improvements to safety practices.

Requirements

• WSQ Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health, BSCC or equivalent certification.

• Preferably 6 years of relevant construction working experience.

• Good knowledge of WSH regulations, risk management and workplace safety practices.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Willing to work at project sites located in Jurong Island.

• Possess own transport to travel to project sites and work locations as required.
