Ensure that the workplace complies with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations and laws.
- Keep up to date with changes in occupational safety and health legislation.
- Prepare for and support audits or inspections by government agencies.
- Identify potential hazards and evaluate risks in the workplace.
- Develop detail site HSE execution plan, define site HSE management procedures and measures. Supervise the effective implementation of safety regulations.
- Take part in the qualification audit of subcontractors and their members.
- Responsible for delivering proper HSE education for the project staff.
- Responsible for organizing site HSE meetings.
- Responsible for organizing periodic HSE inspection and behaviour observation.
- Making records of the non-compliance. Communicating the HSE expectations with project members. Following up the rectification.
- Work with construction engineers to develop a safety work method statement for each certain job of high danger and follow up with the disclosure.
- Deal with authority officer for inspection or other activities. • Coordination with owners, general contractor, subcontractors, material suppliers, etc. to ensure HSE compliance.
- Periodically collect HSE records and reports, monitor the key performance indicators, make specific actions to improve.
- Organize accident investigation, develop detailed accident report and take targeted rectification actions.
- Conducted weekly & monthly Internal audit with top management team. • Conducts internal and external safety audits.
- Execute appropriate safety measurements in accordance with the Workplace Safety & Health Act.
- Liaise closely with operations staff, Project Managers, clients, main contractors, consultants and authority etc. on all safety and health issues.
- Ensure safe work practices are adhered to by all parties in the daily site activities.
- Perform daily inspection to ensure compliance with prevailing MOM regulations and ACAP, Company ISO & OSHAS policies. • Enforce all safety legislation and in-house safety rules and regulations.
- Inspecting the workplace and exercising strategiesfor preventing accidents
- Investigating accidents and taking strong measures to avoid any such incidents in the future.
- Developing and implementing preventive measures and practices.
- Suggesting and purchasing latestsafety gears for workers.
- Collecting, and summarizing data and safety reports.
- Preparation of Health and Safety documentation for new tenders.
- Develop and present project HSE Plan, Emergency response and work statement procedures asper the client’s HSE requirement and country legal requirement.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualification: A diploma or degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in occupational safety and health, especially in construction.
Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and standards.
Good communication and training skills.
