Ideal candidates will hold a diploma in engineering and have at least 3 years of relevant experience. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Qualifications

Job Description & Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Project Manager, plan and advise management on accident prevention, safe work methods, legal requirements affecting safety and health.
  • Prepare forms to be implemented at the workplace such as safety checklist, Risk Assessment, Method Statement, Safe Work Procedures, etc
  • Deploy Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) programmes.
  • Ensure that all safety compliance and processes adhered to by all workers.
  • Assist to manage and monitor site operation, workers and subcontractors.
  • Able to communicate to all levels and attend to daily site meeting.
  • Identify unsafe acts or practice and promptly correct any unsafe condition or practice with implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Conduct safety committee meetings and safety audits for management reporting.
  • Maintain HSE controls and process within Company’s policies and government’s regulations
  • Ensure and conduct daily toolbox meetings at worksite.
  • Conduct safety training / briefing such as familiarization on Risk Management’s standardize procedures to the respective site team
  • Establish quality safety management policies and procedures.
  • Ensure Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is applied within site at all time.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations.
  • Responsible for effective site administration which includes site safety and control of materials on site.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Project Manager / Superior.
Requirements
  • Min. Diploma in engineering on electrical / mechanical
  • Possess a valid registration with MOM.
  • Familiar with ISO documentation
  • Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in construction industry
  • Self-driven and able to work within tight deadlines and shift work, if required
  • Able to work independently with positive attitude
  • Possess good leadership and organisation abilities
  • Good communication and computer literate
  • A team player who is hands on and meticulous in his work
