Job summary

A leading HR advisory firm in Singapore seeks a Safety and Health Officer to oversee compliance with safety regulations, conduct inspections, and manage safety initiatives. The role requires professional certification in Workplace Safety and Health, and offers a salary range of $2500 to $3500. This is a full-time position in Jurong West for a 5-day work week.

Qualifications

• Professional Certification and/or Advanced cert in WSH.
• Possess knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health Act.

Responsibilities

• Support and administer all WSH-related initiatives.
• Assist WSHO for safety promotional activities and audits.
• Conduct checks on work activities to ensure safe practices.
• Coordinate rectification of unsafe conditions on site.
• Support implementation of actions to improve WSH performance.
• Assist in risk assessments and control measures.
• Assist in incident investigations and recommend actions.
• Maintain required Safety and Health documents.

Job description

Location: Jurong West

Working Days: 5. 5 work week

Working hours : 7.30am to 4.30pm, Sat: 7.30am to 12.45pm

Salary : $2500 to $3500

Responsibilities

• Support and administer all WSH-related initiatives.
• Assist WSHO for all safety promotional activities, safety audits, safety meetings and execution of safety programmes
• Conduct routine checks on work activities to ensure safe work practices are adhered to by workers and ensure compliance with prevailing MOM regulations, company policies as well as on-site protocols
• Coordinate the immediate rectification of unsafe conditions and correct any safety malpractices on site
• Coordinate daily toolbox meeting and upkeep the records
• Support implementation of actions to improve WSH performance
• Assist to conduct risk assessment and implementation of risk control measure at workplace
• Assist in incident investigation and recommend corrective action to prevent
• Maintain required Safety and Health documents or files
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirement

• Professional Certification and/or Advanced cert in WSH
• Possess knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health Act.
