A leading construction company in Singapore is seeking a Workplace Safety & Health Officer to implement safety programs and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in safety, substantial industry experience, and be well-versed in compliance requirements. This role involves leading safety initiatives and working closely with project teams to foster a strong safety culture on-site.
Roles & Responsibilities
Preparation and implementation of Safety Program.
Ensure all work practices comply with company safety policy and WSH Act.
Advise on work plan / Risk Assessment / safe work procedures.
Ability to identify problems and provide solutions.
Able to lead fellow colleagues and inculcate them towards safe work culture.
Compile all relevant report and records, carry out daily safety inspection.
Prepare and submit weekly safety report as required by management and clients.
Other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Project Manager.
Have experience in confined space, high-altitude work, civil engineering or electrical engineering projects.
Furnish the necessary documentation for relevant personnel to comply with WSH requirements.
Any other duties assigned by the EHS Manager.
Experience / Skill Required
Must have Workplace Safety & Health Diploma / Degree in Environment / Health/ Safety or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience as WSHO in Singapore and experience in various construction projects.
Must be a Singapore Registered Safety Officer / Workplace Safety & Health Officer with Ministry of Manpower (Singapore).
Must have professional knowledge in WSHE legislation and regulations (WSH act and Environment).
Must be able to compile all relevant reports and records, carry out daily safety inspections, and be healthy, hardworking, and driven.
Willing to travel to and from Tuas (company transport provided at Boon Lay MRT).
