Job summary

A leading safety management firm in Singapore is seeking an EHS Officer to assist with safety inspections and compliance on-site. The role requires strong communication skills to advise site staff on safety measures and ensure compliance with relevant legislation. This position involves daily inspections, training workers, and implementing safety measures effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that EHS inspections, toolbox meetings, and briefings are carried out.
• Implement EHS programme(s) on sites.
• Advise site staff on EHS matters.
• Conduct daily physical inspections of the work environment and tools.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Enforce new EHS measures passed down by management.
• Promote safe conduct at the site.
• Rectify unsafe conditions and practices.
• Check that all workers comply with EHS procedures.
• Ensure rectification works are implemented and maintained.
• Train workers to work safely.
• Ensure safe workplace conditions like housekeeping, lighting, and ventilation.
• Enforce the usage of personal protection equipment.

Job description

He/she is to assist the project manager to identify any unsafe condition or unsafe practice carried out in the project. They are to recommend to the project manager to implement and to assist to implement such reasonably practicable measures to remedy the unsafe condition or unsafe work practice.

• Check that all workers comply with the Company’s EHS procedures and practices.
• Ensure rectification works are implemented and maintained.
• Train workers to work safely.
• Responsible for safe workplace, housekeeping, lighting, and ventilation.
