Job summary

Nanyang Technological University Singapore invites applications for the position of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer to support the launch and delivery of the new Bachelor of Commerce in Banking, Finance and Applied AI (BFAAI), a part-time Work-Study Degree programme commencing in August 2027.

The successful candidate will play a key academic leadership role in the programme, including serving as Programme Director/Coordinator, and will be responsible for supporting its successful implementation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business, Economics, Financial Technology, Data/AI, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership for the BFAAI programme, including Programme Director/Coordinator and overseeing implementation, delivery, quality assurance and improvement.
• Lead curriculum development and delivery across banking, finance, applied AI, regulatory/governance and work-integrated learning components.
• Coordinate the teaching team across NTU schools and industry practitioners to ensure high-quality course design and delivery.
• Teach and develop courses in banking and finance areas and at the intersection of finance, digital transformation and applied AI.
• Strengthen work-integrated and experiential learning with industry projects and workplace learning.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders including NBS, CCDS, NTU PACE, financial institutions, IBF, polytechnics and government agencies.
• Support students with academic advising, mentoring and professional development relevant to banking/financial services career progression.
• Contribute to pedagogical and practice-oriented innovation, including industry cases and new approaches to teaching in adult education and AI in finance.
• Contribute to other academic, administrative and service responsibilities within NBS and NTU as appropriate.
