Job summary

Singapore Public Service is seeking a Lecturer in Banking & Finance to shape curriculum, teaching practices and learner development. You will lead industry-aligned learning, strengthen curricula, and drive assessment enhancements to ensure programmes remain responsive to evolving financial sector skills needs.

You will mentor junior lecturers, build partnerships with industry and educational peers, and contribute to wider School and Polytechnic initiatives, including overseas learning

Qualifications

• Ability to facilitate learning and develop practical competencies.
• Genuine passion for supporting learners' growth.
• Relevant qualification in Banking/Finance.
• Depth and breadth of industry experience including leading projects and teams.
• 12+ years of experience in two or more areas: AI/Data Analytics in Finance; Digital Banking/FinTech; Blockchain/DeFi; Fund Management; Consumer/Corporate Banking; Sustainable Finance; Risk and Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum development, learning resources, assessment strategies and teaching practices across full-time and part-time programmes.
• Deliver industry-relevant teaching using appropriate pedagogies and technologies.
• Mentor learners in academic, personal and career development and supervise projects/competitions.
• Provide mentorship to junior lecturers and develop teaching capabilities within the team.
• Initiate industry engagement and collaborative projects to keep curriculum current.
• Build networks with industry and educational partners to track developments.
• Lead or contribute to School and Polytechnic initiatives and student development activities.
• Support overseas learning opportunities and collaborations with industry or educational institutions.
• Perform other academic and administrative duties.
