A prominent hospitality group in Singapore is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee kitchen operations. This position involves staff recruitment, training, menu planning, and ensuring kitchen hygiene. Suitable candidates should have 1-2 years of relevant experience and be willing to work flexible hours.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for staff recruitment, conduct Kitchen Staff training and Staff discipline.
Oversee kitchen operations, familiarize with operation of all kitchen equipment.
Ensure overall kitchen hygiene and cleanliness is maintained, plan menu and create new dishes.
Ensure good quality of all ingredients delivered by suppliers.
Gather feedback from Restaurant Manager regard to popularity of dishes served and comments on food.
Co-ordinate with Restaurant Manager on pre-arranged functions and/or activities.
Handle food-related customers’ complaints and recommend new ideas to improve business.
Train staff on preparations of new items in menu. Observe & ensure safety precaution in the kitchen.
Monitor the inventory level of all ingredients and notify the Chief Cutter when stock level is low.
Familiarizes with all sauces and cooking methods for all food items.
Anticipate the following day’s supplies and prepare appropriate quantity of ingredients.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experiences
Minimum secondary school education
Able to work on weekends and public holidays
