Job summary

Mandai Wildlife Reserve is seeking an Animal Feed Assistant (Part-time) for on-site work at the Singapore Zoo. The role involves assisting with animal food preparation and quality checks under the guidance of the Wildlife Nutritionist.

You will follow SOPs, wear PPE, and contribute to safe, hygienic feeding routines. Heavy lifting up to 25kg and weekend/public holiday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE 'N' levels and above
• Heavy lifting up to 25kg is required
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays
• Able to work outdoors where necessary

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Animal Feed Assistant and Senior Animal Feed Assistant in preparing the food for animals and performing food quality check
• Prepare the diets formulated by Wildlife Nutritionist
• Diets are precisely prepared based on the correct items, weight and quantity on the diet sheets
• Follow all existing SOPs while performing food preparation, including wearing PPE and work safety
• Practice good kitchen hygiene to minimize poor quality risks
• Understand the quality check procedure and standards, reject food when they do not meet our requirement or pose quality issues
• Report to supervisor of food quality issues
