What the role is
The Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), a cluster of NParks, safeguards the health and welfare of animals through comprehensive and integrated programmes and works closely with partners in the veterinary and animal-related industries to strengthen capacities and enhance competencies in animal health and welfare. It is the main touch-point on animal and veterinary matters in Singapore and the first responder for all animal-related feedback. It also conducts public education and engagement programmes to foster a society, where pet owners, communities, and animals co-exist in our City in Nature.
The Wildlife Management Division in the AVS Cluster manages wildlife in Singapore and engages the community on human-wildlife encounters in our City in Nature.
What you will be working on
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Wildlife Management and Outreach team. The role focuses on managing wildlife-related encounters through various responsibilities, including field surveys, population management (such as sterilisation), direct conflict resolution, and feedback handling.
You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders and wildlife management contractors to ensure smooth project implementation. The position also involves data management and analysis, contributing to broader wildlife initiatives and participating in public outreach and educational programmes.
